Chuck Morgenstern opened Woodchuck Antiques in San Francisco in 1974. We were located in Presidio Heights since 1988, but Woodchuck Antiques has now moved! We have a large booth in Chelsea Antiques, a collective located at 148 Petaluma Blvd. North, Petaluma, CA. Look for the large Woodchuck sign, once inside.
We specialize in all types of lighting from the 1870s to the 1920s: our inventory includes a nice selection of of period antique lighting, in styles such as art deco and art nouveau.
We boast a wonderful selection of bronze sculptures from the mid-19th century to the 1930s. This includes art nouveau, art deco, neoclassical, with a very nice selection of Vienna bronzes and erotica. Our furniture dates from the 1860s to the 1920s and often includes library tables, desks, bookcases, file cabinets, and pedestals. Our love of whimsy is displayed in our inventory of toys, old advertising signs, and miscellaneous fun.
Chuck is an expert in his field and he is often asked to authenticate and appraise items in his field of expertise for auction houses and estates. Chuck and Lynn continue to enjoy this world of antiques, as they themselves are passionate collectors.
Most of our inventory is listed on the Woodchuck Antiques 1st Dibs website.
